When was 'The British Invasion?'
The British Invasion was the term applied by the news media to the influx of rock and roll, beat and pop performers from the United Kingdom who became popular in the United States from 1964 to 1967. British artists who went to number one during this period were The Beatles, The Animals, The Dave Clark Five, Donovan, Herman's Hermits, The Kinks, Manfred Mann, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Yardbirds.

The invasion was when the Beatles decided to rule! They had some of the most meaningful and soulful music ever. Nowadays, you can find soulful artists like that on The Hotel Cafe tour. Check them out, you can even download their ringtones for free.
